The march that set off from City Hall and went down Stuttgarter Strasse and Dumfries Place? It was more than ten years ago, more like 15 and I was there, protesting against it. I remember chanting 'is that all you take away' and got told to shut up by the police.
I've never had any time for the far-right, despite your preposterous accusations. What is different as I have aged is that I also have no time for the far-left, and to be honest, the reactions to these marches helps inform that, where all kinds of behaviour is completely ignored because its about Palestine. We all know it's a minority but it still needs calling out.
So yeah, no time for the far-right, no time for the far-left and no time for the kind of tone you have in debates where you hobble around with your knee in permanent ultra-jerked position throwing accusations at anyone without any justification. Its ugly and it's pretty extreme and you should one day think about how it comes across.

No he hasn't. He's just told you everything you want to hear.
The march is going ahead. Let's just hope they can do it in a respectful way and with as little disorder as possible and then everyone is happy. 👍

No, he's telling you what you want to hear so you will do what you've done and shared it to make him £££££.
It's not a serious piece that addresses all the concerns (legitimate and otherwise) this weekend.
The concept of Jonathan Pue is great but it's fairly tired now tbh.

He’s trolling us, just like The Hate Secretary aka The Tent Snatcher.
And now she’s gone and brought Ireland into her latest rant https://news.sky.com/story/suella-br...ticle-13003749. Dangerous psychopath needs sacking

The Northern Ireland slant illustrates this precisely as I'm pretty sure you'll find ex members of certain loyalist terrorist groups proudly standing and saluting for those who have fallen in war.
On a personal level, I see from social media that stalwarts like Tommy Robinson, Jason Marriner and the 'lads' have got involved to 'defend' cenotaph and war memorials so I'm expecting a peaceful Saturday with no problems as the character of these two is above any questioning.
I'm waiting on Braverman to comment on Tommy and the Chelsea Headhunter lads support.
No Surrender.

That said, I think she's probably correct. Anyone who thinks the police handled BLM marchers and anti lockdown marchers the same for example is essentially lying to themselves. Perhaps it was the sensible decision in terms of avoiding disorder, but that is still treating them differently.
So yeah, loads of grand questions on the police and it's culture, but I'm not sure the article was needed on the Thursday before remembrance Sunday..

She has, without naming them. Sticking up for hard done by ‘football fans’. She means the EDL lads of course, not the likes of us.

Why is saying that remembrance Sunday should be respected etc standing up for football hooligans?
Perhaps you could point to the part in the article?
Honestly, do people just make this stuff up or really believe it?

An article of this nature might be considered "unhelpful" if it was penned by a backbencher or someone in the Conservative Party hierarchy.
But this came from the Home Secretary a day after her Prime Minister and the Head of the Met had reached an understanding. This was a deliberate "hand grenade" from someone who seems no longer interested in her obligations and cabinet responsibilities when set against her longer term political ambitions.
Seeking any sense from what she wrote other than her short term wish to undermine her PM and set herself up as the darling of the right wing of the Conservative Party is perhaps missing the point.

In in the article, mentions football fans complaining about treatment.

Yeah but she's not promoting the EDL or football hooligans, you've inferred that, rather bizarrely. Whatever else she is, she doesn't strike me as someone who would have a laissez faire approach to a bunch of lads in stone island chucking chairs about on the High Streets of Stoke or Burnley.
