Colwill’s got the talent to play international football, he was showing that three years ago. However, I thought he was poor last night and that can’t all be put down to him being used in a position which I don’t think suits him. The thing is he’s certainly no better than when he scoring for Wales back in 2022 and last night he got me thinking that maybe the reason his career has plateaued out, or maybe even declined, is that he still plays like a teenager in many ways - he shows very few signs of maturing as a footballer.Quote:

I am far from Colwill’s biggest fan and I have been quite supportive about Bellamy’s opinion on him so far but this one is a head scratcher when you see some of the names included. Colwill’s performance at Villa alone shows what he is capable of. Other games he has beeh hovering between 6/10 and 7/10 which is more than enough to warrant a place when you look at the squad. Find it baffling he is not in this one
Davies also though I am giving the benefit of the doubt that this is because he has only just come back from a long lay off
