    'U571' had the Americans capturing the enigma machine from a German U Boat and turning the tide of WW2.

    Only they didn't.

    It got high ratings from the reviewers in the USA but was panned here for re-writing history and stealing someone else's achievement.

    I’d say the Great Escape would not even get in my top 1,000 epic films.

    He said”I was in North African for 2 and a half years, saw lots Germans and Italians but the only time I saw a yank was when we were being shipped to Italy when most of the serious fighting was over”
