    RIP

Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell has died, aged 54.
The tragic news was confirmed by his former team-mate at Nottingham Forest , Mark Crossley. Campbell, who had been hospitalised at the end of May, kept the details of his illness private. Following his hospitalisation, both Arsenal and Everton shared brief messages regarding his condition

Very sad news. Much too young.

In recent years he has impressed me as a pundit - the same qualities he showed as a player: dignity, intelligence and passion.

Sadly, I can’t remember a single thing Kevin Campbell did for us in his short spell here, but I can recall a lot of what he did for Arsenal, Forest and Everton - he was unlucky not to win a senior cap for England. A big man on the pitch and, judging by interviews of his I heard, a big man off it as well.

    RIP

I was sitting virtually next to him at a home game..he was in the overspill from the dugout.
Spent the whole game on his phone, not looking at the match once.
    Another Fowler etc

At this sad time, I think this is a story that sounded better in your mind and maybe should have stayed there
