How do you feel about the coming season?

A bit early to know, but I'm quite optimistic that it will be a bit better, plenty of talk of new signings and Wintle out, I sense a change of direction.

The next few weeks will give us an idea based more on the signings than the friendlies, can we finally get a decent Striker that will fit our style of play?

I hope we're working hard on Premier loans as they have tended to be our best players in the past, and will we find any overseas Bulut buys?

I can barely contain my indifference.

Worse than last season with the current squad, but hopeful we’ve still got some more good signings to come.

    Not excited.

I'll wipe the slate clean tho.

And Wintle going means nothing really, still got Ralls, Siopis and Turnbull to slip in his place (slow lethargic static midfielders)

Depends on how many games we get out of Ramsey, and if any of the youger players make the leap

Looking forward to it as ever. See some old faces, on and off the pitch, would love to see new ones in both categories. New signings, of course, are part of the build up but what would really make the season for me would be the emergence of a few of our own youngsters. One or two or even more of them establishing themselves as first teamers and successful first teamers, not just filling a gap, undroppable youngsters. That would be so satisfying.

During the first round of the Euro’s, when the so called “lesser teams”, were bringing excitement back into the game, I couldn’t wait for the season to start.

After watching the “so called”, elite teams playing their “keep the ball, between the back 5 and their poxy little boring triangles”, it bored me shitless and I think i’ll Be staying in the pub

Another season of Bulut ball isn't exciting.

I think we are just treading water under our current set up.

Bookies have us as one of the relegation favs.

If we avoid a relegation battle then we've done well. I dont expect it to be entertaining though.

You could always buy a ST and watch the game from level 4? Bar stays open. Loads stay in there

I don’t like drinking at football, I know the football is shocking and the actual experience is dire but I’ve never been one for getting drunk to watch football. Am I missing out? Maybe I should give it a go see if it becomes exciting? Pills and coke were quite common in the rave days but that didn’t mix with football either.

First season ticket for a decade. I really can't wait for it to start. I have no expectations other than it will be good to be back.

The coke was probably what kept me going years ago tbh.

I agree on the drinking and football, theres having a couple before and going flat out after the football, and theres starting 4 hours before a ball is kicked and missing ko to finish a pint, rushing down ht etc. No care for the 15 people you pass 3 times a game while the game is live to have a piss because your bladder cant hold til ht/ft. Those people are arseholes.

Nothing to get excited about. No players brought in that will improve our feeble attack, no exciting signings so far. No real squad improvements yet. All the signs point to another season of mediocrity from a workmanlike side who will scrap for each other but lack creativity. We need improvements on the last 7 months of the season to consider a top half place and I don't see that happening as of yet.

Fair enough, it is early let's revisit before the season starts

The best signings usually come in late.

I've learned. Thats why I'm only going with the clean slate, and not letting myself get carried away.

Out un Portugal last year I was really looking forward to having Bulut manage us and that quickly subsided.

Always start optimistic, otherwise whats the point ( I know plenty will disagree with that here )

We know we need a Goal scorer, we have for years now

looking forward to seeing if Rubes can push on, maybe even his Brother

Impossible to tell at the moment, I think the two signing have been decent.

Based on last season Willock offers less goals than Grant or Bowler but did get more assists, I think he can be an asset.

Is Chambers better than Phillips? I’m not sure he hasn’t played regularly for a few years.

I would say we need at least 4 players who go straight into the first team plus another couple of squad players of decent quality.

    .
I would guess as ones worth zero and another is rated at 10m there can be an argument for Phillips being better than Chambers.

But it’s still a brilliant signing

Unless he’s gone drastically backwards I’d say he will be. Chambers was in Villa’s squad last season, even if he didn’t get much game time. Phillips wouldn’t have been anywhere near it.

I'll let you know how I feel about the coming season when we have signed a striker or two
