Followed by an even bigger one on Tuesday I think it is.
Wales v Republic of Ireland in the First Leg of a Play Off tie with a place at the Euros as the prize. Kick off at Cardiff City Stadium is at 7.15 - think they’ll have to improve on their display against Slovakia and I wish Sophie Ingle was playing.
Unfortunately the match clashes with The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice
I'm going
15000 tickets sold
There was about 13000 in there Wednesday night
Welcome To The Home Of Welsh Football .....Cardiff CityStadium !
Have it
Against the run of play, but that was a very nicely worked goal.
1-1, the Welsh keeper needed to be two inches taller.
Wales playing well
My first game watching start to finish. Do the refs normally let as much go as this one? The Irish seem to leave a bit in every contact but nothing or am i just biased?
Fair result, Wales better in the second half.
Poor performance at home that
Well taken goal but Wales anonymous really
Ireland look the better all round team
Fair result, I thought we were the better team second half
No, I thought Ireland were the better team first half and we were second half. Play Offs tend to be tight, edgy affairs more often than they are high scoring thrillers - City’s one successful Play Off campaign produced two goals in three games and it would have been one were it not for extra time.
Looking at the head to head in this fixture over the years. It usually goes to the away team over almost all of the games played has been won by the away team. So looking good in the return leg.
