Deserved better this afternoon but we go again! Some of you can still try to make me responsible for everything when its not going well , But i will always give 100% till the end with the smile on my face 👊🏾 thanks for the support always ❤️ #LaBrute
A few fans with something to say about his celebration. Seems like the players are reading whats said online, as in the comments he said all players are human, and the same negative comments for the same players cant help.
Think hes right? Or think he should shut up get on with it?
If fans give it they should be prepared to get it back. I think reasonable criticism is ok, but some of the stuff I read said about players is vile.
No need for him to get involved really, giving it back to the fans after he scored was pretty poor too
If he is honest with himself, does he think he has done well at Cardiff? He’s a forward and yet, as we approach the half way point in his second season, you’ve yet to see him score a goal for us in the flesh if you only go to home games.
What I will say is that I thought that was his best attacking performance since he signed for us and if he can continue to that standard, he can play a part for us in the months ahead.
yeah I was reading that on twitter earlier, some of the twats on there were giving him some stick. he'd do better to stay out of it altogether
If the rumours are to be believed he should spend more time focusing on his football and less time in the bookies in and around Cardiff
Chopra part 2 but at least he had an ounce or two of talent
He works hard, gives his all, he might not be the prolific goal scorer we need, but it isnt for the his lack of trying
He doesnt deserve the blame laid solely at his door that we are struggling , yet some appear to think its all his fault, he has taken loads of stick on social media, but when he gives a little back, its wrong, the bloke is only human ( yes he is getting paid well and failing to score the goals we need ) nowt as sensitive than a football fan it seems
I know a few reading fans and he is a hero to them, they appreciate the effort he put in, he was never that prolific for them either, but 1 in 3 wasnt bad

He turned towards us all at the other end (which no one noticed at the time and all celebrating) and has doubled down on Twitter
If anything fans have been overly patient with him as hes the first one giving it some in front of our fans whenever we win which has bought him a lot of credit in the bank for useless performances.
Had a go at Riza last week and the fans this week, sums up his attitude
Bit of an odd one really, yes he does work hard but hes been pretty useless. Ive not really seen any real abuse on X (if there is thats obviously out of order). Must I seen just frustrated hes playing and dont think hes very good. Fans will always have opinions.
The cupping of the ears just seems odd to me. Its not like he was a player previously in good form and now feels hes not getting support or getting unfair stick because of a blip in form, hes been rubbish from the off, his scoring record is shocking especially when you consider he started so many games upfront.
To then double down on Twitter equally poor from him, those away fans have spent a fortune watching some shocking away performances. They dont need some ego cupping his ears because he finally did what he should have been doing since he joined.
The stupid thing is he probably would have got a lot of praise for his slightly above average performance yesterday and hes turned it into a negative.
Meite had a decent game for us yesterday
Hes scored 3 in over 50 games?
To the best of my knowledge he hasnt played in a defensive or midfield position, but has always been picked playing either up front or on the wing, in other words, where you would expect to see him
I might be wrong and Im sure Eric or someone else can help, but I dont remember seeing him being credited with too many assists in those 50 games?
I keep coming back to this point that whatever way you dress it up, football is a results business
Im pleased for him that hes broken his duck this season , can he do it consistently? Lets hope so but as it stands its 3 goals in 50+ games
Maybe this will be the start of a run of goals from him?
What he done years ago for Reading and in what regard their fans hold him is of no relevance whatsoever. He has been piss poor in a Cardiff shirt.
If putting effort in is going to be used as an excuse to overlook his football failings then we might as well get a load of local footballers who support the club for a fraction of the cost as Im sure they would put the effort in too. Hate that excuse, this is championship football ffs. Not that his effort is stand out and remarkable anyway, hes usually blowing through his arse by half time when he starts a game.
I would also suggest he gets his head down and gets on with trying to score a few more goals before he starts giving it the big one to the fans, especially the away fans who have paid to support their team in numbers.
1 goal and hes giving it like he Zlatan ffs.
Yesterday's goal was Meite's 3rd in 52 Championship appearances for Cardiff City. His last goal was scored back in April.
Bit daft for him to be giving it the big 'un under the circumstances. He should just get on with it.
Agreed. He's paid more than enough to be putting in the effort. He can expect admiration and plaudits when he's regularly sticking the ball in the net.
Personal abuse is absolutely unacceptable and, if that has occurred, then the people involved should be ashamed of themselves. On the flip-side, some individuals can be very quick to play the "personal abuse" card, when it is in fact legitimate criticism.
A pro footballer or pro anything for that should not be reading social media as a way to gauge form.
To be fair to him I'll happily accept him giving it the big one if he turns in that kind of performance every week from now on. Easily his most effective performance in a City shirt for me.
I wouldn't put up with any of that nonsense at all.
Riza should drop him, otherwise he's giving the green light for similar behaviour from Meite in the future and other players.
Footballer does what was expected of him 50 games ago.
Youve been shit Yak.
I was really excited when you signed. Thought we were getting a top Championship player with a great attitude.
Youve been shit.
Silenced his doubters with that goal yesterday.
He should have been dropped from the squad after the way he publicly argued with riza when he was shyte as he always is.
Wonder how much he's being paid? Wonder how much those 3 goals have cost us? Probably hundreds and hundreds of thousands per goal? If he wants to give it the big un that's fine but let's have the full facts.
