Quite normal for Nazis, I would have thought.

Musks salute there is dodgy as f**k. But I sincerely doubt he is a nazi sympathiser or just did a nazi salute. He needs to explain it though and be far more cautious about how things look

Apart from his family being apartheid sympathisers and being raised in that environment, generally retweeting far right and white supremacist info, Adrian Dittman saying he was a Nazi on 4Chan I also don't think he is a Nazi sympathiser.

I think he would suggest it wasn't one, let alone two, but that's for him to explain!

Is, for example, Jeremy Corbyn a terrorist sympathising communist then? Plenty of evidence for that and people who would say he is.

No idea who Adrian Dittman is. I'm not sure of any white supremacy stuff?

Certainly looks odd. But then so is he.

Not sure of the relevance of Corbyn.

Adrian Dittman is Musk's alter ego, surprised you missed that. Normally across everything.

Its strange, pro Nazi accounts on Twitter have flourshied under his ownership and he's promoted anti-semitic conspiracy theories. Maybe its a co-incidence, maybe he's a Nazi sympathiser. I don't know.

I do think he's a ketamine addicted cu*t though. Proper weird.

Not quite in a K hole.

Maybe waiting for his Starlink connection to kick in.

I saw the headline and thought it was probably not a salute.

Then I saw the video. He definitely did a nazi salute (twice )and he has spent the last few weeks heavily promoting the far right in Germany, saying that the AfD are the only way to save the country. I mean, that's pretty close to being what you think he isn't, right?

It looks like he is trying to do Superman, but I don't want to spoil a good Musk is a Nazi story.

A cognitive bias is a systematic pattern of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment. Individuals create their own "subjective reality" from their perception of the input. An individual's construction of reality, not the objective input, may dictate their behaviour in the world. Thus, cognitive biases may sometimes lead to perceptual distortion, inaccurate judgment, illogical interpretation, and irrationality.

    BTW welcome back

That can work both ways. If I did that in the street and gave the explanation that has been given then a grand sum of completely nobody would believe me, yet half of America believes Elon.

Fwiw my initial reaction is that I don't think he's trying to do a nazi salute because I don't actually think he is that dumb but am struggling to work out what the **** he is doing if it isn't.

So, to the questions, do you agree with him and do you think the same as him about Musk, your simple answer is wait and see - that’s as confusing as your first answer.

This thread isn't about him though, is it

Now I wonder who said that???

It's still early days and you judge people on what they do, not what they say.

Who? The guy on the video or Musk? Your answer makes some, but not much, sense if you're talking about Musk, but none at all if you're talking about the video.

For 80+ years, being a nazi is just about the worst group you could be accused of being in. It's all we've known for our whole lives (I'm pretty sure there's no one posting here who remembers pre-Nazi Germany). So it's understandable to think it couldn't be an actual nazi salute, as why would anyone, let alone the richest man in the world, do one (twice) at an event for a US president's inauguration. It must be something else.

But I don't know what. If you saw a video of a guy doing that movement in his living room, what else could you say it was? Put it in the context of what Musk has been saying and tweeting in the last month and it looks even worse. Still, it'll all be forgotten by tomorrow.

    Re: Elon Musk

If he were cast by a top film director as a vicious, demented Nazi thug then Musk would get praised for his portrayal of the role on his looks alone. However, any subsequent examination of his background and beliefs would raise misgivings because it would likely be thought the guy isn't actually acting.

I've always said most people vote for what benefits them the most, Labour voters now mostly come from the Public Sector, and people who are more reliant on the state.

    Re: Elon Musk

Probably like most, when i saw the twitter clip of the Nazi salute, i was thinking WTF, but once the the full clip was published with the context, it's quite clear the initial clip was edited to reflect what was shown, I still think he was stupid and should have been better prepared for his moment on stage.
