Edit. Hey Tony, FYI he's a right footed left winger
Bulut will play him at centre half then

PS:——- I haven’t got an account either

Sounds like a bit of a Josh Murphy type from some of the QPR forums.

Probably wasn't going to sign a new contract and wasn't going to break into the main squad.

Who would have paid Ł6-10m for him? Not many would take the gamble and he could have walked away cheaply.

10 goals in 2 seasons from attacking midield. How many matches did he win?

Ah, someone else who just looks at goals scored when judging a forward’s effectiveness.

I see QPR have just confirmed he’s left the club.

QPR have confirmed he's left, so seems imminent. There was interest a couple of weeks ago, but some higher placed clubs were circling. They've done very well if they get this over the line.

agree with that, but when our strikers and midfielders also don't score many goals it would be nice if SOMEONE did

What else are we meant to judge forward players on? How many defensive corners they clear?

8 direct goal involvements last season. 1 more than Josh Bowler. I doubt Josh Bowler would be described as a match winner by you.

Congratulations to Dan - the first poster this summer to use the phrase ‘over the line’ in relation to a transfer.

I did say he was a match winner a while back and he clearly was in 20/21, so what point are you trying to make?

Seems to be a done deal. Announcement maybe later today, if not then tomorrow.

This is what my QPR mate said, he's a proper fan goes to lots of games.

"Was awesome 2022/23 Season mate but fell out big favour last year and started on bench "

Make of that what you will

Sometimes you just need a fresh start, if he signs let’s hope we have someone lined up to capitalise on the creativity and the crosses that we need to see.

Yes and he said he was awesome prior so that will do, let's hope he's awesome here

If he’s a DM, then I don’t see him breaking up play or being someone who imposes himself on the game, imho he offers very little other than being able to pass the ball sideways at every opportunity!!

He doesn’t score goals, is poor at set pieces, and half the time you wonder what he’s actually doing on the pitch

Let’s be honest, no one from the Premier League is going to make a bid for him, and any championship side chasing a top 6 place would want better

He’s playing in the Championship for us because he’s cheap, this is he’s peak

Personally I wouldn’t keep him as a squad player

I’d forgotten about Adam’s who looks like he’s joining Derby anyway after having a decent loan spell there
Every single word of the above post is wrong. Just because he isn't flash doesn't mean he cant play - he gets about his work quietly and efficiently covering nearly every blade of grass most games. That is why Bulut gave him a new four year contract last season.

It’s odd. Willock started just 20 Championship games for QPR in 22/23, but started 27 in 23/24 when he’d allegedly fallen out of favour.
