Any side that loses three strikers through injury and has a fourth unfit would expect to be less competitive, of course, but I'm not sure how a club is meant to legislate for it. In that situation, if your sixth choice striker is a teenager who's showing some promise then I'd expect any fanbase to be positive and optimistic about him but you want to pick holes in everything here. Each to their own.
