Nope, in the grand scheme of things he's done an excellent job.

    OK.
How about we get him at play time, pin him down and give him a knuckle rubbing on his huge pink noggin, or a big wedgie.

Seriously though, what a frustrating situation and an unfathomable manager...

Slade has to go if we're to progress. Simply not up to shaping a promotion challenge.

Slade is clueless, out of his depth, stubborn, frustrating, bald, annoying, overweight, maddening.

His team selection was bad enough but to not bring on any subs in a must win game at 0-0 is amateurish, careless, negligent, foolish and just typical of a man who had surely just 3 games left as City manager.

I am not surprised we lost given our manager but Wednesday must think it's xmas.

How we've managed to even be in contention for play offs is rather perplexing

    Reading
    Fulham
    QPR
    Brentford

4 failures in a row. Now we're pretty much out of it despite Sheffield Wednesday trying their best to **** it up!

He's not good enough and I believe that is the facts.

His selections have cost us since the Burnley game and I'll happily take staying down another few seasons as long as we change our direction as a club.

It's called having good players. I personally think failing to make the playoffs is a slight underachievement for the personnel we have.

Wednesday have hit a blip yet have extended their lead on us. Unbelievable.

They will have to hand out free tickets all next season to get a half decent crowd.

Come on guys he has had to ditch some players earlier in the season .

Give him a few more years and everything will be ....... well.... much the same ......

This is a bonkers thing to say.

First season - Consolidation - Done.
Second season - Steady the ship, slash wage budget and move players on, aim for top 6 - Done.
    Third season - Promotion.

Judge him at the end of next season, not the end of this one.

I should co-co. All this talk about him going to be offered a new contract is utter claptrap!! Tonight's result coming after last Saturday's abysmal performance and the Fulham away performance/result previously just goes to show that Slade has been unable to motivate the team/squad when it mattered. He has never warranted a new contract in my eyes and should never have been appointed manager in the first place. Please resign tomorrow.

    Re: Slade Out anyone ?

After last Saturday's abject failure to start with same 11 tonight was just mad. As soon as Ameobi, Zohore and Lawrence came on we created more chances than the previous 85 minutes. The ineffective Noone needs to be left out and our lack lustre midfield needs a kick up the arse. This p'plan' of playing Pilkington up front n his own has lasted about 16 games now and we've stopped scoring too.

He needs at least 5 years to achieve his undoubted potential.

We got ourselves into a great position, Sheff Wed are stuttering, but when it really mattered we've managed 2 points from 12.
