I should co-co. All this talk about him going to be offered a new contract is utter claptrap!! Tonight's result coming after last Saturday's abysmal performance and the Fulham away performance/result previously just goes to show that Slade has been unable to motivate the team/squad when it mattered. After last Saturday's abject failure to start with same 11 tonight was just mad. As soon as Ameobi, Zohore and Lawrence came on we created more chances than the previous 85 minutes. The ineffective Noone needs to be left out and our lack lustre midfield needs a kick up the arse. This p'plan' of playing Pilkington up front n his own has lasted about 16 games now and we've stopped scoring too.
He needs at least 5 years to achieve his undoubted potential.
