Thread: GLAMMY

    Re: GLAMMY

Cricket is worse than egg. At the professional and especially international level, the sport has completely sold-out to advertising.

At least the egg fans sing a selection of songs; the pissed-up Glamorgan drones can only knock-out incessantly that moronically infantile "Oooooooooh, Glammy, Glammy" crap. Talk about being dumbed-down.

You obviously declined to attend our last home game against Somerset last Friday night Mr Morgan when a whole array of songs were sung.

Very lucky tonight but in fairness every win this season has been convincing. Even if we lost tonight we would have been two points clear of Middlesex with a better run rate so I think a home quarter final is deserved.

Lets hope for a balmy summer evening and a 10,000 gate.

Will Tait or, maybe, Steyn be available for the Quarter Final?

Tait's had his moments for us this summer, but I think it's fair to say that we were a better team when Steyn was playing. If Steyn was available, I'd try to get him back, but the truth is we need batting reinforcements more than bowling ones really and I wonder if some thought would be given to looking for an overseas batsman or all rounder for our remaining 20/20 games?

I can't really see that happening though, so with Cooke out for the season and last night offering more proof that we are a batsman shy, it looks like Bragg would have to come in, but has anyone seen anything of Selman - he's done pretty well in the Championship up to now.

Only way Surrey have any chance of progressing is by beating Kent and Essex losing, whilst then trying to then address the net run rate. Ah.

Looking good for Surrey so far...151 without loss in 14 overs for them.

Phenomenal knock from Roy here, what an outstanding player. Hit it all over the ground. Great innings from Finch too.

    Come on Glammy!

Fu weather, evening ruined. Then again we couldn't defend 196 at Lords last week and deserve it
