I make certain allowances with women and try to be slightly more subtle with them. For example, had you read between the lines of Yep! I agree, you would have realised that I was employing it in much the same as Mrs Brown employs the use of 'that's nice' when she's dealing with someone who she can't be arsed to explain things to.
