    Olympics

    Anyone watching the opening ceremony?

They all all wear what I imagine to be their national identity. Whilst GB turn up with a load of overcoats in red trainers.

    Part Chav part posh sailor.

Are you going to predict a terrorist attack for this event as well?

Did they celebrate the city's high crime rate and poverty by having a young boy mug Gisele? Can't even believe they contemplated doing that.

Brazilian police greeted tourists with a ‘Welcome to Hell’ sign at Rio airport, I bet that was reassuring for them.

Millions of Brazilians live in poverty while their Government spends billions of dollars on some games, then in the opening ceremony they are banging on about sustainable development and feeding the world, you couldn't make it up really.

So far it's all been stun grenades, controlled explosions and tear gas and that's just the first two days.

But what about our games? There was controversy about the involvement of the organisation deciding whether disabled people were fit for work and the numbers of those dying shortly after, about ordinary fish and chip sellers doing business within x miles of the Olympic stadium, about money being diverted from charity groups for many years in order to pay for it, about magazine articles criticising what deserved to be criticised being squashed.

It's strange that we don't remember these sort of things and it's compared favourably to Beijing in terms of freedom of expression.

I'ts quite likely that I moaned about that at the time, I'm not sure what your point is? am I meant to mention all previous events because I'm talking about this one?
