The reason the space disappeared was because they scored. We knew we needed the first goal. I think, as I said to others before the game on Sunday, that Vokes was more likely to cause problems because of his physicality. Had we got the first goal, Robson-Kanu would have been an ideal substitute to exploit gaps that Ireland would have needed to leave.
