Some teams dither towards relegation, picking up the odd win here and there, offering false hope to supporters, but not Swansea. Carvalhal offered the fans no hope at all, hurtling towards the relegation line at breakneck speed with a panache and style rarely witnessed nowadays.
In seasons to come, pundits will look at relegation battles differently as a result. In future, when a team can't pick up wins, points or goals for toffee, it will forever be known as doing relegation "The Swansea Way". They are now the trendsetters at this particular skill; the benchmark. Achieving the perfect relegation is nigh-on impossible, but Swansea came very close to this achievement.
Mid-table Premier League to Championship fodder within 2 months. That's "The Swansea Way". Lovely stuff.
