NEIL WARNOCK’S dealings at Cardiff are being probed by the FA after son James was used in contract negotiations.
Football’s rulers last night confirmed they want to hear from the Bluebirds’ manager about his son’s involvement in three separate deals.
A spokesman said: “The FA are seeking observations from the relevant parties but have no further comment at this stage.”
Captain Sean Morrison left his agent and used James Warnock to broker a new three-year deal in the summer of 2017.
The FA rulebook for agents, section E4, relates to a ‘conflict of interest’ surrounding deals that involve family members.
The manager’s son was also used to negotiate a new deal for Rhys Healey.
He signed a contract in October 2017 that takes the 24-year-old striker up to the end of next season.
Warnock’s son is also named on official FA paperwork for negotiating Craig Noone’s contract cancellation.
Winger Noone, 31, had a year left on his deal when the Bluebirds agreed to terminate it in the summer of 2017.
James Warnock’s name appears on each of the three contracts lodged with the FA for the 2017-18 season, which ended with Warnock Sr leading Cardiff back to the Premier League.
