I acknowledge your point on him having difficulty putting the current circumstances aside as he’s managed to totally **** up the response and effectively waffled and blundered his way through it. He’ll be able to sleep at night though so don’t worry to much about Boris.

No protests should end in violence we both agree on that. In regards to people protesting about something that happened thousands of miles away? I think you’re missing the point, whether intentionally or through naivety? I think the death of Floyd is symbolic to the majority of protestors about how they view society. I’ll add I suppose you think campaigning against apartheid in South Africa was a waste of energy during the 60s/70s/80s and 90s?
No point missed.

I'm against the protests at the moment just because of the virus situation and the fact we have all been in lockdown since March. Protest in other ways, protest when it's safer to do so by all means.

It's those that turn these into battles with the police I'm against, it's pointless shouting abuse and hurling objects at the UK police for something that they had no part in.

Its not a waste of energy to protest about something that happened elsewhere that you feel strongly about, just not now for me and certainly it doesn't have to be in any way violent, achieves nothing.
