I watched a random episode of some Netflix series recently that was about the NYC subway vigilante and made me have a weekend binge of all the NYHC and punk from the 80s I used to love. It isn’t stuff I often play now but nice for a bit of nostalgia and can still get the heart rate up.
My mate is Javier. He played bass around the middle period of the band. I have a lot of friends from Philly/NYC/NJ that were a part of that scene in the early 90s. I'm not really a hardcore fan myself. But there was a huge scene in this region. There are bands that made just a couple of singles that are still revered to this day. I was with a mate from Philly in Australia a few years back and he was talking hardcore with some bloke we were hanging out with and happened to mention he had been in a band called Reveal. This Australian bloke actually owned and showed us a copy of the one 7" they recorded. "Small world" as they say.
