The BBC would still be available the only difference being you would pay for it by subscription like Netflix,Amazon Prime and Indeed the BBCs own Britbox. Being forced to pay for a TV Chanel on pain of imprisonment is like something they would do in North Korea it doesn't belong in the 21st century. Your argument is I like the BBC so everyone in the country should be forced to pay for it if they have a TV whether they like it or not even I'd they don't watch it.
You don’t have to pay your TV licence, it’s optional. If you don’t watch anything on BBC just don’t pay the licence. Simples.

The truth is probably 99% of people who pay the licence watch BBC, or listen to the radio, or a podcast.

As someone says above you wouldn’t realise what you’ve lost until you lost it.

I’d gladly pay another 1% to make up for the minority who clam they never watch BBC.
