Football and politics will always be intertwined, no getting away from the fact. Cheap get out line for them, the far right, who, let’s not kid ourselves are the shit stirrers in this situation, have attempted to peddle their political filth to football fans for years. They’ve been rightly silenced in more recent years, their odious songs, monkey noises and ignorant behaviour being eradicated with the threat of stadium bans, prosecution etc. This booing is in their eyes a legitimate way of showing their true colours, us proper fans, when back in the grounds, should make our feelings known to them if they start their shite.
