People in general may or may not agree with taking the knee and they may or may not be racists but I think cabinet ministers and people of colour in particular should openly support it lest the message gets twisted by the true racists.
Taking the knee, is imo, nothing more than political gesturing. I agree with Patel, and i am very far from being a Tory.
We will no more rid the world of racists, than we will of murderers. Taking the knee, has become no more than a box to be ticked. Nobody should have to do something to prove they’re not something.
The answer to racists in all walks of life is to jump on them, name them, shame them and jail them.
Football clubs are pathetic when it comes to this. So are social media companies. So are non racist fans who attend games, stand next to other fans shouting racist chants, and do nothing.
