a few times players would start to make a run, but the passer didn't pick it up until it was too late and they'd already gone offside or a marker had come across. pack was especially guilty of this as well as Nelson and Flint.
this should be something that we can work on with training though, their passing is already so much better and that's after several years of every pass being aimed somewhere in the stratosphere.

Here are the highlights of that game, from a couple of years ago. The winner comes near the end of but the whole thing may be of interest to those who haven't seen much of Isaak Davies. He starts the game as a left-footed centre forward but then switches to a right-footed winger when James Crole comes on up front. As you do.

It was useful that Rubin Colwill, whose decision making hasn't been great lately, knew exactly what to do in the last minute on Saturday. He could've run at the defender himself but chose to calmly back him into the right position before rolling the ball to Davies to pull off his party trick. Not rocket science, of course, but a good example of what TOBW talked of earlier about the youngsters knowing each other's strengths.

Just to confirm that it was Isaak Davies who crossed the ball for the winner in the video, not Keiron Evans as mentioned in the commentary.

Shame about what happened to Harry Pinchard who, I believe, turned down a pro contract with City and it seems that he is now at Hereford in the National league North. People will look at that and say that, obviously, he wasn't good enough, but he was there alongside Bowen and Patten in midfield for the City title winning youth side of 18/19 and the Wales under 17 side which won their Euro qualifying group in 2019 and didn't suffer in comparison with them.
