The truth is this guy has been coaching for a couple of years and managing for just a few months, during which time his results have been mixed. To hear him speak, you’d be forgiven for thinking he was an experienced manager with a few trophies or promotions under his belt. But he’s not. Morison’s a rookie on a short-term contract at a club that is hovering just above the Championship relegation zone, and thus far he’s lost more games as a manager than he’s won.
I think his point was more if it's OK for one of the best managers in the world to be careful and patient with talent, then it's OK for me. I don't think he was acting like Pep is a contemporary of his.
