You did indeed. My bad for not spotting it.
I once sat next to George Andrews and Bobby Ferguson at a Wales v Scotland game 1966 in Radio Ninian. Even though my mate and i I were probably annoying teenagers he signed my programme and got Bobby Ferguson to sign it as well. Nice bloke.
The long serving understudy and later manager, Richie Morgan, came to the City from Cardiff Corries
Perhaps our most famous goalie joined us from Abertillery Town, Tom Farquharson.........watch out for the gun!!!!!
Originally a Sophia Gardens based club, then went to Tremorfa,
but later settled at Corinthian Park on Llandaff Rd, turn left at the Penhill lights and it’s now a housing estate named Cae Syr Daffyd (I believe that’s it’s name). Play in Radyr now. Google them, it’s a fascinating read. They actually went on a Spanish tour in 1910 and were the first British club to play Barcelona & Espanyol. FA Cup exploits as well. Great story of a really old club.
Does Kieffer Roberto Francisco Moore count? He started at Truro City.
Watched the Corries play at Blaenrhondda pre Covid. They played in chocolate and amber and got beat 5-0, but Blaenrhondda had a really good side then - last time I looked Corries were having a good season. Just checked, they finished fourth in the Highadmit South Wales Alliance Premier Division compared to Blaenrhondda’s ninth, but I’m not sure if their ground at Radyr would be considered good enough to get into the Ardal Leagues South West which I believe is the next step down from the Cymru Alliance.
