    Andy Carroll?

    Would you be happy?

    No

    Re: Andy Carroll?

On a pay per game basis he could be a useful acquisition though I would expect to see him on the injury table more often than not.

    Re: Andy Carroll?

Considering he just failed a medical which saw a move to Club Brugge fall through, all he'll do here is sit on the physio's table.

    Re: Andy Carroll?

I think he would be great but obviously injuries are an issue.

    Re: Andy Carroll?

No thanks. Don't think that fits in at all with what we're trying to do now does it? Pretty desperate.

    Re: Andy Carroll?

would give us an option, but how many games would we realistically get out of him?

    Re: Andy Carroll?

only if he gets a hair cut

He was terrific for us last season. Worth a gamble.

Can't see him passing a medical but would be a good option on a pay as you play contract as he'd give us something different and wouldn't command a transfer fee.

pay as he plays, yea sure, nice option to have for 20 mins of the game

That’s my thought, despite his injuries he seemed pretty mobile and liked to get stuck in? I think he would add another dimension to us.

    Absolutely not!

After seeing the performance today, I'm not sure a massive, but injury-prone CF is what we need this season.

    Re: Andy Carroll?

We definitely need someone on the end of our crosses in the box, Andy isn’t the answer though

Yep he got stuck in and was very hard working. Probably our best player alongside Swift during the period he was with us.

Can he get on the pitch? He's talented but his body's f*cked!

Doesn't really line up with what Dalman was saying regarding one loan and one fee

Yes on a pay as you play basis he is worth a punt.

I saw somewhere that he didn't get a massive salary off Reading either.

    Do you know Pearcey?

    A sense of perspective, please.
A player like Bale, is/was "incredibly talented" - Andy Carroll has talent, nothing more, nothing less.

aha I suppose we all have different scales

I would describe Jay Bothroyd as talented, Andy Carrol as incredibly talented, and Bale as world class
