As a dot on the map maybe but the urban expanse is huge . Go to Newcastle or Nottingham or Southampton , go around the places

South Hampshire is the name given to the population of the Southampton, Portsmouth built up area ..1. 6 million ......that's bigger than the south Wales built up area
You said Hampshire has a population of 1.6 million .......that's only Southampton and Portsmouth.....
