Very few of the newer pundits add ANYTHING in my view - only Neville, Carragher, Keane and occasionally Rio offer any form of genuine insight that is beyond what an armchair viewer can see. Which is the whole point of punditry, rather than saying 'that was great' etc etc.
Pundits generally don't add much, I agree, and I'm not interested in being entertained by them, as if they're the reason we're watching. I bet most of us feel like that.

But in the case of Lawrenson, it's not that he just doesn't add much or is annoying to listen to - he's a mood hoover, he speaks as if he is having the worst day of his week. If he'd gone gracefully into the night that's one thing, but he's played the woke card. Just take it on the chin.
