Anyway, one of them breaks away from their group and apologises to me - it was Jonathan Davies.
He had that trademark smile on his face and was such a gentleman.
I got to know him quite well when BT hosted question and answer sessions at Stadium House for invited guests during the 1999 Rugby World Cup. As I was a BT Facilities Manager in Stadium House at the time, I got involved in the preparation for these events and Jonathan Davies was our main contact. As you said, he was a gentleman and very down to earth. Loved talking about his golf but the free beer on offer was definitely not to his liking.
