But the whole point of them is meant to be that they target built up residential areas. Judging from some of the comments , the Bristol example has been extended further than it should to earn some extra money. Really poor from Bristol council if this is the case.
Put them in built up residential areas then the poor feckers who have old gas guzzling cars and cant afford to replace them get hit by a £9 charge everytime they take out which could be everyday.
