The rules were set over harsh to stop people having full on parties, with drugs, getting pissed, getting up to all sorts, everyone knew there would be the odd rule broken, five-mile restriction in Wales as the worst of the lot, most people sensibly completely ignored it.

It's the same as 20mph only about 5% of people do it when not going through a speed camera.

You almost hit the car in front to go through, then everyone accelerates away to the next one.

Beer Korma Starmer did the same, no one really cares, they were work do's where wine or beer was added, move on, that's why I don't watch the news anymore.
Loads of Boris supporters are coming up with the same argument. Calling those that judge bent and the system broke is the classic Trumpian defence. The commons vote on this will be interesting and will starkly illustrate the huge rents within the Tory party as the sizable Boris loving minority will vote in his favour. How can such a politically divided party effectively run this country.

When you or I get caught speeding we pay the fine and move on.Unfortunatly when those that make the rules are caught they will be punished even more. This argument is a very poor defence.I hope it's the beginning of the end of populist politics and I've a sneaking feeling most Tory MP's are quietly glad too.
