So what was the score in the crystal ball where he didn't make subs or change tactics? There is a pretty good reason why he's a football manager and we all work 9-5s, it's because none of us actually have a clue what we are talking about.
If it keeps happening then fine but we are a few games in..
Just looking at Brighton's first goal.....rebounds off the keeper....looks to me as if Brighton player is behind the Newcastle defence....goal given.....
Very similar to City's disallowed goal in similar circumstances....
Very disappointing defensive changes and subs. Bulut has to take the blame for today,
Our first goal was top drawer. To say we’ll struggle more than last season is way off for me. You can see the progress being made, just need to cut out errors, and hold onto leads. I think we’ll improve.
I wasnt able to follow the game but caught up at 2-0. Pretty shocked to find it 3-2 loss.
Have only seen City's first goal which was good.
Not sure what happened last 20 mins but there is a pattern. The manager has to be given time, but we dont want these implossions to be happening too often.
Ok hes a manager. We are clueless. Should be 2 up at half time after Tanner putting it on a plate for Meite.
Why change at half time and why sub Ralls.?
Why feck with the formation.?
Why when 2 up are we playing 2 yard goal kicks to players uncomfortable on the ball?
This wasnt Ipswich suddenly turning on the style it was a complete gift for them.
So we dont question the man in charge of todays shambles who virtually all of us had never heard of prior to his appointment.
And I say question. He deserves time but today was largely on him.
Ipswich im sure were not 1 of the promotion favs and I doubt they will be top 10.
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna:
"We said we can't win every week but we promised we'd give the fans a team that would have a go, be brave and fight to the last minute. I think the boys showed that today and it's a great way to win a game.
"I know they will keep going. Some days you get a bit of luck and it goes your way, some days it won't.
"There are lessons to take from the first half for sure. It was a different type of game to what we have faced so far.
"We are stepping up to a much higher level. We are going to go behind in games. If the fans see the players running hard and trying to win games, I expect the fans to stay with us."
Cardiff manager Erol Bulut:
"When you lead 2-0, you don't have to give it away. We have to be more disciplined.

"Two goals we receive a little bit unluckily - the second one and third one. But we had also enough chances to finish the game. First half we had the chances, second half we had the chances.
"I said to my team, we want to keep the ball, we train always for this. Then we have to move and fight for this. It's not enough.
"Positives we have of course. The transition from defence to offence was great in the first half. Second half we had chances. But for me, defence starts up front. Against the ball we have to work much more aggressively and not lose our discipline."
I haven't seen the game yet - just listened to the club commentary and watched Matt Murray - but the clear view from most is that Bulut made mistakes with subs and shape and going defensive after they scored. A few fingers pointed at the players, but mostly the manager.
Interesting then to see Bulut not taking responsibility for the collapse, but blaming a lack of discipline by the team.
I have been quite impressed with him so far - but not with that reaction.

Bonkers.
Not satisfied with Tanner who just before the break puts it on a plate for Meite.
Great for his confidence.

A hugely disappointing result but really good football played today in parts. It's such early days, everyone needs to click and it's happening to a great extent but still improvements are needed. That goes for the manager too.
I still feel positive about this season and I hope Tanner gets s good run in the team.
Tanner did well as did the whole team first half. Hes obviously going to be inconsistent. Hes young learning at this level but hes quick direct tracked back and should have had an assist to his name.
Buluts replacement offered nothing.
This criticism is another bad addition to a bad day for Bulut.
