LAst ball. The Pakistani bowler was not a happy bunny.

A brilliant win last night considering the first nine overs. Chelmsford is always a tough place to go but we have the batting firepower to win

Essex were top tossers, and have put us in to bat. time to make them regret that decision!

YouTube. Just search Essex cricket and you'll get the official stream.

Struggling here on this pitch....40-2 after 8 overs

    Re: GLAMMY

What we reckon then? Pitch or poor batting display. The way that Carlson and Marnus struggled makes me veer towards pitch. Hoping Ingram and douthwaite could be big here, maybe heft rather than timing can get us a flurry of boundaries.

Commentators seem to think 166-8 is a good score but looks light to me

Great from Ingram. Watching on my phone in a pub showing the England game so didn't catch much commentary, but from the little bits of commentary I did hear they seemed to think it was a 150 pitch.

Carlson and Marnus struggled to get it away at times, but they kept playing their shots and built us a decent base.

Liked the intent by timm on 18.6. Alleyne(despite his team picking woes) and Bradburn seem to have given us a licence and encouraged an intent that we haven't had before. Ok, he got caught on the boundary. But his job with that ball was to load up and belt it, hopefully get a 6, but if not ingrams still on strike for last over. Under Maynard's regime I think the pressure there would be to get a single.

    Over to the bowlers

Think I was being under pessimistic by saying it was a little light. Looks all over after just 6 overs!

Essex is a 200 ground at any time. Highly optimistic to think this was a tricky target.

looked like it was going to be a walkover but if glamorgan can get wickets they might get something

lots of overs for Essex but wickets a concern

Marnus doesn't like being out the game does he. Too early to start with ' oh glammy glammy' !!

Wow brilliant bowling from Crane especially

    Re: GLAMMY

    8 down. Well done Marnus.

    Re: GLAMMY

Hoping we come through. But poor captaincy to give Ingram those 2 overs, especially the 2nd. Shouldn't of been thinking about how to fill 20 overs, foot was on the throat, needed to keep it there with crane. Even Stevens again

    Re: GLAMMY

Ingram is a superb batter but is there a worse catcher in professional cricket?

    Re: GLAMMY

Typical , from a position of no hope to a position of red hot favourites to then let them off the hook. No idea why Crane and Marnus were taken off then for Ingram
