The Best Player to ever play in the Championship ?

This thread has gone daft. People mentioning players who were either at the start of their career or at the end of it, they were never 'Championship players' in the same way Lee Peltier was never a Premier League player.

I wonder if Ali Dia still dines out on the fact that he was a Premier League player? There’s no doubt that he was. Every player mentioned were, at one time in their career, Championship players. I think the thread’s title could have been tweaked a touch. Whitts was a Premier League player, 56 appearances in the division for Villa. He could’ve definitely been able to claim that he was a Premier League player as well.

Apart from Ramsey and Trundle. i'd agree with you. There has to be some criteria, otherwise the top ten would be a combination of Paul Merson, Robbie Fowler, JFH, Wayne Rooney etc. The players mentioned would be candidates for a top 100 premier league players, or at least considered, and i don'r think that they would want that Trophy in their cabinet.
