A summary of the graphs for those who can't be bothered with the link. They contain comparisons between the last quarters of 2022 and 2023, so the 2023 data is after the 20mph limits were introduced.

Deaths on roads 30mph and lower: 8 in 2022 and 7 in 2023, so 1 fewer in 2023. As many deaths on 20mph roads as there were in 2022 on 30mph roads.

Serious injuries: down from 120 in 2022 to 105 in 2023.

Seriously injured motorcyclists and cyclists: up from 52 to 65 in 2023.

None of this comes as a surprise to me. Has it been worth it? Not at all.


We all knew it's just Drippy proving he could do what he wanted, and the new illegally dumping waste lover seems just as bad.
