It wouldn't start any "Top 6" talk but a quick wiki / YouTube search and I'd take that Dursun over what we have.

The first one has a good goal scoring record, but he’ll be 33 in October - think I’d prefer the second one who is 31 today as it turns out, but, in truth, I might be talking bollox as I’ve never heard of either of them until today.

Dursun is described as Turkish-German. Is he Turkish, or is he German? 😁

Sékou Koďta is available on a free, but his scoring record in Austria + young age is probably a bit too good for us, probably go somewhere in Germany.
I wonder how Championship salaries compare with middling bundesliga teams though.

I found this news a bit confusing. I have heard Gavin Chesterfield talk him up. We send him on loan to
Kilmarnock where he struggled to get any significant game time. We did not recall him and send him somewhere he might play so I wondered if we had given up on him and were just happy to get his wages off the books. Now he has got another year. Good luck to him and I hope he makes it but what was going on last season ?

Davies was on loan toPontypridd at the end of 22/23 and I can remember being surprised when a club as far up the footballing ladder as Kilmarnock came in for him. Kilmarnock turned out to be maybe the biggest over achievers in the SPL, so, maybe, it was thought being on the bench for such a side most weeks would suit his development more than another loan to a non league club?

Being on the bench would suit his development Bob? I suppose you mean training and within a first team structure, because apart from out multi talented 10 million pound wing back O' Dowda, i don't think i've ever known of a player who has developed while not playing Jokes aside, it's all a bit odd, especially Evans. I'd say that he has had his chance, he's nearly 23, although some players are late developers. If he does get a chance then he's going to have to take it.

I'm just trying to suggest a reason why City might think a season at Kilmarnock ev en if he didn't play much might be better than playing every week for the likes of Weston Super Mare. I notice that Davies broke into the Welsh under 21 team while at Kilmarnock, so the move didn't do him any harm on the international front.

Be interesting to know what the plan is for them for this season. Are they deemed good enough to stay with the first team squad now based on their time at Gateshead/Kilmarnock? If so, will they get any game time? Surely there's no point in further loans at their age having given them one year extensions.

Apparently We are among a number of clubs interested in Tom Bradshaw.
