I suppose they are coming out of a 20.20 campaign but every side needs a Chris Tavares at some point.
Losing’s better than drawing in cricket’s brave new world Hamish- no, I can’t understand it either. The 17 wickets at Cheltenham was only the fourth highest of the day.

Between wickets and runs there can't be too many better than Crane and Van Der gugten. If their bowling doesn't get you , their batting will. Great innings by crane so far, moving through the 40s at a run a ball

197 all out, so a small lead for Glamorgan, but it’s all gone wrong for them since then - Gloucestershire going at nearly five an over at 148-2.

Meanwhile, I’ve watched the seconds play Warwickshire in a T20 game on You Tube and the affliction which we’ve seen this season in this form of cricket isn’t limited to the first team. Chasing 184, Glamorgan we’re going at ten an over at 130 odd for one when they began to stumble, still, they only needed six off the last over with just four wickets down and yet they managed to cock it up as they got three

We should arrange a match against South Africa. Should ensure for an exciting finish, with both teams falling apart and contriving to hand the game to each other.

If Northeast can reproduce his Lord's knock we might sniff victory 😉
More likely we crumble and get beat though😠

341 -4 at lunch. Another 280 needed for a world record chase or 2 sessions to block for a draw. Brilliant effort so far. Although hard to see how both teams managed to crumble so spectacularly in the first innings

    453 - 6 at Tea

140 more runs to win. Just 4 wickets left. And one session.

    Northeast still in (on 147)

Time to grab draw/loss from the jaws of victory, or a win from the jaws of a loss/draw?

    Re: GLAMMY

Can't see many runs coming from 10 and 11 so I think we've got to rely on TVDG and Mason Crane, together with Sam Northeast to get us home. Still a long way to go though.

    Re: GLAMMY

If Northeast brings us home I will take back everything I've ever said about him. And I will personally start building the statue!!

    Re: GLAMMY

Gloucester been told they can't bowl the quickies because of the light so that buggers up the chance of winning I'd say. Two slow bowlers on. If somehow we get close, they can bring on the quickies and off they'll go for bad light.. One hell of a chase though

    66 to win, nervous times.

8 to win, 12 balls left, one wicket left.

    Hmmmm.

    Match tied

    Wow. What a finish.

    Re: GLAMMY

A tie. You can’t criticise an innings like that, but Glamorgan played a useless last over - they only needed two off the last over and Crane turned down an obvious single off the third ball.

    Re: GLAMMY

Blimey. An incredible game. Well done Glammy. A fantastic effort.

    Re: GLAMMY

What a catch from Bracey without his keeping glove on. But as Bob said why they didn’t take the single earlier in the over was a massive miscalculation.

    Re: GLAMMY

Can’t remember Glamorgan tying a game before - an incredible match, but it doesn’t do either side any good really.

    Re: GLAMMY

Bloody hell. What a match. Combined scores of 376 in the 1st innings and 1,202 in the 2nd.

    Re: GLAMMY

I thought it was over Bracey's head. Stunning catch.Agree Crane should have taken the single but he batted well.
Nick Webb really was very low key about this potentially being a world best run chase.

    Re: GLAMMY

Wow. Don’t know how to feel about that. Is it like scoring a 95th minute equaliser or conceding one……..
