I’m grateful that Trump was not hurt too seriously, but it’s hard to think of a modern day political figure that the words they brought it on themselves apply to more in terms of attempted shootings - his politics have always been about dividing people, he’s political marmite in a country where people we’re beginning to talk seriously about a civil war.
I’ve been saying this for years…..he will no doubt win in November now, if it doesn’t happen again that is.
Suspect named as 20 year old Thomas Matthew Crooks who was a registered Republican apparently and had no known criminal record.
Hopefully this incident wakes up America and they realise the way they conduct politics cannot continue.
