That reminds me, my missus wants some Agent Provocateur underwear for her birthday. She absolutely loves it, and so do I

Whats also wrong was Trumps inability to accept defeat with grace, his mocking of the disabled and many other things he's said.

Doesn't mean that shooting the guy is the answer!
Do you not think that Trump played his part by inciting those riots?

Trump picks his running mate. J.D. Vance. I'm not sure what it is with Americans using their initials.

An interesting pick to say the least, in his 30s, published author and made some interesting past comments on his new boss..

So, it looks like that's the end of Jack for now, case dismissed and talk of unconstitutional lawfare attacks.

    America is insane

Political murders happen in mad countries

Given that what most people would consider decent human beings get murdered from time to time I think it's not really surprising that a disturbed and motivated person tried to knock off a thoroughly divisive and rotten individual such a trump

He's courted publicity and headlines and controversy and whipped up division

    He's absolutely loved it all

But now he is suddenly to be wrapped in a blanket ?

I am afraid this is part of the world he has created

It's missing the point to say that people say he's asked for that, deserved it etc etc

He and his rabid followers are right at the core of all this not a few people on a messageboard using gallows humour

Forget about the bloke in the bearskin conspiracy crap

There were hundreds and hundreds of redneck nutcases on Capitol Hill that day armed and very dangerous

Many innocent people could have died that day

Just because trump and his pathetic spoilt followers didn't like losing

    That's the problem in America

That leads eventually to a 20 year old disturbed individual trying to kill someone who is intensely disliked by as many people who worship him like a demi god

It's like an insane side project of Heart Of Darkness

Interesting to read that the family of the guy shot and killed at the rally have refused Biden's call but not heard from Trump. This says a lot about the three parties involved.

Well it's a big job, so he will need an early start. Something weird is happening though, suddenly there are people with big money backing him, and the social media companies are relaxing their anti-Trump policies.

Is that short hand for anti 'racist, misogynistic, paranoid, self-serving lies' policies?

Not that the social media companies are protectors of liberal democratic values and norms - they are just protectors of their gross profits and influence - especially since that Trump soul-brother Musk joined the party.

It means they are standing down their anti-Trump election interfering algorithms. Something big is happening behind the scenes.

It’s like the Sun backing Labour in 1997 and 2024, some very important people have to be seen to be on the winning side, but Trump has it in him to still cock things up

I think it's bigger than Trump, they already control the VP nominee, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Billionaire Elon Musk has said he plans to commit a massive, monthly donation to a new pro-Trump super political-action committee.

Musk had indicated that he planned to start his donations in July to the America PAC, backing former President Donald Trump's presidential run.

The total contribution from the Tesla CEO and head of social media platform X will be a stunning $45 million a month.

I am so surprised by that - NOT.

This JD Vance bloke seems like a nice chap

The 39-year-old said he was "beating up" on the UK, and had discussed with a friend “what is the first truly Islamist country to get a nuclear weapon", then joked "maybe it's Iran, maybe Pakistan kind of counts, and then we sort of decided maybe it's actually the UK since Labour just took over".

What say all you right-leaning folk?
