Thread: Anyone flying from Manchester Airport?

Re: Anyone flying from Manchester Airport?

I've got a good mate who was attacked by the same bloke on a works Christmas do on three occasions. When deciding (my mate) to call it a night, the same bloke turns up at his digs and takes another pop at him. They're both piissed and there's a bit of animosity between them, the other lad starts yapping and throws his weight about. My mate responds, gives him a few clips, puts him on his arse but (wrongly) stamps on his head. Witnesses all give statements saying he wasn't the aggressor and didn't start the fight. The 'victim' suffers facial fractures.

Four year sentence given for GBH with intent.

This was back in 2013 so I'm guessing stamping on someone's head has been deemed a bit of a faux pa for a while?

Do I think my buddy should've been sentenced to four years not a chance being honest but you can't be volleying people in the head and then acting out trapping the ball according to the law.

    Big money? Authoritarian job?

Think you're talking about something else here

I've seen the term "reasonable force" used to describe how the police should react to the sort of provocation they received at Manchester Airport. I can't think of any circumstances whereby kicking the head of someone who is incapacitated on the floor and then stamping on it qualifies as reasonable force.

Stamping on someone’s head is a potential attempted murder charge in any other scenario.

Hes accused of dishing out retribution here

    His own justice

And that's where it falls down

A coppers job is to arrest , not punish

That's the job of the courts and the judge

Now it's said if WE or one of our family or friends was assaulted WE would hand out a kick or a few punches

But the law isn't made for US , its made for society

I think those of us who took a what might be called soft view can agree that lawyer is an absolute arsehole

You're right of course but to me at the time although stamping on someone isn't 'fair game' when they're out of the picture, I thought there was mitigating circumstances for my mate but the law says otherwise.

My mate couldn't really remember doing it, he was pissed and when he gets going he's a handful.

Interesting evidence used against him was the other bloke's face had the imprint of an Adidas trainer sole on his cheek. Adidas Copenhagan and not Kick which would've added to the occasion and black humour in my warped eyes.

Sorry J, meant the officer in the video , he would be on an attempted murder charge in any other scenario as he had already used “reasonable force” prior to the stamp.

I think your friend on the other hand was unlucky as he was not the aggressive one but the law is indeed interpreted in different ways to reality.

We've all seen people put the boot in needlessly and for me the officer actions at Manchester airport is no different to my mate.

Both would have been adrenalin going, piissed off and on fight mode. That all said, I would've expected some more restraint from the officer? The bloke had also been tasered which was more than enough.

Generally, I'm only speaking for myself here if someone is out if the game there's no need to start volleying them about.

Always think it's a bit of a cuunts move. That said we've all seen it happen and probably not said fuuck all to the person who has delivered the boots?

    Justice served .
    Reinstate the copper .

Folk may then think twice about attacking them at will.

The only disgusting fact I can view from ( all ) the footgage is an appalling attack in the first place on police officers, punching a women could also be life threatening .

The mother who started this on the plane needs to be arrested and questioned as that is where it all started.

I get the feeling that Asian communities are hiding behind racism , and think they can go over the line with the breaking of our laws as our fair minded authorities give them more leanencey.

Must be tough being a copper holding back whilst your mates are spat at , punched ,abused for doing thier fecking job , perhaps we should all consider that before racing to support the poor old victim .

Folk on here could not wait to have a go , poor Asian victims ( not all, just the usual suspects).

The new video of the lead up to the incident shows officers being repeatedly punched, including the female officer who, as we know, had her nose broken. He'd have had to be a saint to calmly handcuff the Asian bloke instead I'd giving him a kicking. Unprofessional, yes. Understandable, absolutely.

I guess the correct outcome would be disciplinary action against the officer and a GBH charge against the Asian bloke. I'm guessing that won't happen though.

Were you in Trafalgar Square with Tommy Robinson and the rest of your lot yesterday? Your post drips with racism. And before anyone has a go at me for pointing this out (again) I'm not even commenting on the incident just LOM's usual divisive, xenophobic bollox which he gets away with over and over again.

I admire your honesty and fair-minded approach Jordi.

There is so much crap in here it's difficult to know where to start

The mother should be arrested ?

    What for ?

And if she's then released then it might be a case of wrongful arrest .....you OK to pay for that

The Asian community ?.....Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Sikh .....wtf are you going on about now

There are 20000 "asians" in Rochdale......there were about 150 outside the police station

If that's a community hiding behind their race or religion they are not very organised

Police aren't above the law despite how some of them act.

Scummy people attacking the police will be charged and as should the officer.

Re: Anyone flying from Manchester Airport?

The problem is a bully decides he wants to go smashing two women full pelt in the face, he wouldn't have said boo to a goose if it was three or four six foot three fifteen stone blokes.

The copper that lost it was frustrated that his back up failed as the two female PC's were smashed to the floor, and he had the idiot jumping on his back while he was trying to arrest the other idiot.

After seeing that he deserved it, and wasn't so big then, but you can't go kicking the criminals in the head or stamp on it either and he will probably lose his job, but it's becoming clearer to see what he did, and his frustration.

The bloke that punched the two female emergency workers in the face repeatedly should go to jail 100%, it was an assault on an emergency worker doing their duty hopefully, they can double the sentence for two offenses. The fact he got kicked in the head after is a different issue.

Yeah and I’ve been on the end of a police baton many times so I’m no sympathiser, kick to the head was a bit over the top but the twat definitely needed something. He thinks he can get away with that in an airport v police, what’s he going to be like in the pub or walking the streets on the weekend.

The second video shows a reason not to jump to conclusions on these things. Not the Media's finest hour either.

As for the policeman, it's understandable he would be furious on a personal level at seeing colleagues assaulted but their job involves dealing with amongst the worst in society and you can't do what he did, it can't be acceptable.

I agree understanding the full chronology of events is important in not jumping to conclusions and in making the point people definitely shouldn't fall into the same trap. According to the GMP they have opened a public portal for more footage and it is appealing for witnesses to three incidents.

The first is “an altercation between passengers” from Qatar Airways flight QR023 that arrived at 7.20pm, which they said may have taken place on the flight or in T2 baggage hall.

There was then a “violent altercation involving members of the public” in T2 at about 8.22pm, GMP said.

At 8.28pm in the terminal car park’s pay point area, three police officers were assaulted and left with head injuries including a broken nose, it added.

I believe the video evidence so far only covers the last of these three events.

Look, we all know what an attention seeking idiot you are so you don't have to highlight it. This was not an "armed police" incident as there was clearly intelligence about the nature of the incident and the level of police personal protection was commensurate with the perceived threat. The copper lost it after the altercation. His response versus the expected response of that of a trained officer in similar set of circumstances will determine his fate.

The scum that killed those young officers was white and nothing to do with Islam or Muslims

I am glad you brought up the Dale Cregan murders as it blows a hole in your earlier nonsense

big money ? ? , these are police officers, you think they earn big money ? ?

£30 K to £45 K ( ish ) I believe ( I havent checked, but thats the amount friends who are officers tell me and I have no reason to doubt them )

the amount they put up with for that, the shift work, that starting rate is under £14.50 a hour thats a crime in itself, a top end of £22 a hour, Lidl workers earn £12 to £13 a hour depending on how long they have been with the company

so a Police officer, comes out of training, earns £14.50 a hour, yet could go and work in Lidl's for £12

something tells me they dont choose to become Police officers for the big money
