There was an opportunity on about 35mins when Rovers lost the ball on the edge of our area and we broke , got to the halfway line and then turned and played it back so the whole Bristol team could get back behind the ball. The youngsters are playing the same game as the first team, slow slow possession football with no penetration.

Robertson looks good on the times he’s got on the ball

The highlight of the half was when the commentator said there won’t be any extra time tonight

    Agree with this.

Sky commentator: “It’s 0-0 and it’s one of those games that is very 0-0.”

    Quite.

Bulut will be delighted. A perfectly executed 45 minutes of Bulutball.

Sadly our youngsters don't seem to be very good. I feel sorry for any striker playing in this team as there is no service whatsoever.

62% possession- one shot on goal!

It’s going to be a long torturous season if we keep this up

Conte, a central midfielder who had a very short spell at right-back, is playing right wing and isn't getting much joy, surprisingly.

I’m not sure if my tv picture is freezing on a regular basis, or if we really aren’t moving at all. This is so turgid. We’ve got to get rid of Bulut. This is abysmal.

All the youngsters have done well but we are so slow in possession with little thought to progress up the pitch. So much sideways and backwards passing. Obviously doing what the manager wants but we are home FFS.

I was wondering what could add some excitement to our matches and it suddenly came to me:

When do the yellow footballs come out?

    That’ll spice things up.

That seems harsh, they all look competent enough footballers against a league one first team but are obviously playing under instructions to keep possession , not take any risks and turn back as a preference to going forward

I agree about being a striker in any of our teams though, you are totally isolated

Hard to blame players. Clearly playing how they’ve been told to play, as same as Saturday

That said I think King is showing his short comings in passing and Colwill again not involved enough / doing enough to show why he should start in the league.

Maybe we should try wingers out wide?

To be fair they are playing the same as the 1st Team on Saturday backwards sideways passing going nowhere. I think Buluts plan is to bore the opposition to death.

Opposition keepers should take a pillow and a duvet such is this utter drivel.

Tidy performance considering its youth v almost a Rovers first team .

Alnwick is a better fit for this new passing game .

    Robinson looks very useful .

    Conte is decent .

King does give the ball away .

Giles has had a good game as has young Kpakio both got adventure in thier game .

Rionmhota is comfortable with this type of procession football I don't think he's had a bad game.

    Jury out on Kanga .

62% possession is easily achievable when you're passing it across the back 4, with the odd forward pass into King or Rinomhota.

We so rarely get crosses into the box, maybe that's because of this inverted wingers rubbish or the fact there is seldom more than one person in the box.

Perhaps he doesn't want to win it, in order to "concentrate on the league" ?

Interesting to see Kanga instructing Conte to hoof it over the top to him, not into his body/feet.

It makes you wonder what we ****ing work on in training. As you said no patterns of play, no 3rd man runners, no creating overloads. What the **** are they being coached.

It’s difficult in a game like this where these players don’t normally play together on a regular basis so can excuse tonight to a certain degree, but it’s the same for the first team. We have no identity whatsoever.

I wasn’t Colins biggest fan but we had an identity under him. We haven’t had a clear plan for 3 years almost under Morrison, Hudson and Bulut.

    Robinson isn’t playing tonight.
