So many permutations today. All worked out in the end. Good day and win. Well done to Welsh Fire women as well, especially after the disappointment of last year. Men did well today but second time rain has foiled a certain win this year.

That was a very good win. It looked iffy at 165/8 so to get to 230 was a good effort. Once again Van Der Gugten bowled superbly and in the end a comfortable win.

I’m gradually coming around to thinking Van Der Gugten has become a superb county cricketer - he seems to be getting better, he’s become a dependable batsman in a crisis for a start.

I’ve been thinking the Welsh Fire men’s team had become almost as bad as they were a couple of years ago, but the truth is they were well on their way to winning the two games that were rained off and their season would have looked a lot different with those extra points.

Yes would have been 50/50. Interestingly, those extra 2 points would not have made any difference to any league place in the mens league.

I'm sure I heard a commentator say the other day that Welsh Fire men's team have won 4 home games out of 16 over the four years of the Hundred. Us City fans don't know how lucky we are.

Without checking it, that sounds about right to me.

Yep his bowling and batting improve every season. He has turned into an impressive long term signing.

Warwickshire it is. Chased down 286 from 77-5 today, some teenager from the UAE got 130.

It's kind of right Glammy should play Warks for a place in the final after the NR earlier.

A lovely bowler friendly wicket for our opposition visitors

    Re: GLAMMY

Not the best start - think losing the toss and having to bat first was a big blow!

    Re: GLAMMY

Yes, a good toss to win.
You've still got to get it in the right areas though and the Warwickshire opening bowlers have been spot on

You want to keep some optimism, but to be honest at 44-4 after 15 think the game has gone. This pith for a 50 over game!!! Toss decides. It’s madness.

Someone has to have a huge knock just to have something to bowl at. Ingram just had a couple of let offs, very tough going out there.

    Glam 247-9 innings closed

    Re: GLAMMY

Good recovery by Glamorgan and well done to Douthwaite for his mature 50. The glass half full interpretation is to say that a bit less than this total was enough to win quite comfortably on Wednesday, while the half empty one is to say conditions have eased quite a lot as the day has gone on.

Welsh Fire women off to a bad start after being asked to bat in their Final, three wickets down already - 45-3 off 40 balls.

    Re: GLAMMY

Good fightback Paul. Douthwaite did really well.
Now Tim strikes. Batting is definitely easier though.

    Warwickshire 37-3.

    Make that 37-4.

    Re: GLAMMY

62-6, Smith, the century maker in the Semi Final, out for 1.

    Re: GLAMMY

That was a superb delivery from Douthwaite. Very impressive to reduce them to 62/6

    Re: GLAMMY

London need six off the last five balls left with six wickets down to beat the Welsh Fire women.

And the woman who did a Mankad at Lords a couple of years ago wins it with a six, with the woman she ran out batting with her at the other end.

    Re: GLAMMY

Glamorgan looking very good! What a game so far from Dan Douthwaite. Van Der gugten and Mcillroy look unplayable
