What’s with the Giggs thing? He’s director of football at Salford, he’s involved there with his mates. No doubt well embedded in the Manchester scene. You’d imagine the advice from his co-owners, the Nevilles, Scholes, Beckham & Butt would be to swerve any move made by us.

He's being mentioned on forums and social media, only a matter of time before bookies consider him and give odds, even if just to make a few quid from punters.

We all know 100% that the receptionist down CCS has printed all those names off the betting odds site, dropped them into a hat in preparation, ready for Dalman and Choo to pick one out randomly.
I can sense the blindfold cabinet being opened as we speak.....

But hey, a busted clock is right twice a day as they say so our luck has to change sometime on this magical merry go round.

Are any of our Welsh superstars on the list?

Its obvious to see that this will be chosen by Tan.

But will it boil down to choosing from whoever applies/interviews?or will the 3 wise men (when they can be bothered drag themselves away from their full time roles) go out and approach/headhunt someone?

Either way your filled with absolute confidence based on their previous appointments.

Tan appointing this one, apparently, I would guess he may try and get some help from someone like Warnock?

    https://www.bettingodds.com/thesackr...s/cardiff-city

That might explain why the second favourite on this site is now Freyr Alexandersson, his other Manager.

Nathan Jones favourite on there, but Tan won't appoint him will he.

Well Dalman and Choo haven't exactly appointed well previously.

As long as Borely is on the board we've at least got the slightest in chances.

He's on a 'long term' contract whatever that means.

Didn't realise he's fluent in Spanish. Means he can tell us to **** off twice.

Nathan Jones has made a managerial career out of creating sides that are hard to beat. His overall win %age is 42%, which is good, but he has drawn as many games as he has lost as a manager - 110 of each.

That is quite unusual for a manager. Given how easy we are to beat atm (and last season too - we drew relatively few games) then NJ's stats would suit our current predicament.

On the other hand he flopped twice, at Stoke and Southampton, which are clubs similar in size and expectation to ours.

All the same I think he would be a good appointment, and if not him then Rowett or Lowe.

The insanity of appointing Bulut, who had never managed outside Turkey (and hadn't been very succesful there tbh), must not be repeated.

I have been told a "left field" option has been approached on an informal basis.

I have absolutely no idea who that is

Most managers flop somewhere in their career.
Saints were on a downward spiral at the time of that particular appointment.

I really dont know who would be a fit anymore - they are just trying to get lucky with an appointment.
I would take Jones as he is a known quantity at this level, this would be a career ambition of his to manage us.
It could just be that this time is right for us both.
Rowett and Mowbray (if well) would be solid choices too.

Knowing how this club is run, the name out of the hat will probably read 'Made in China'.

Tan and Dalman have had an informal approach to running the club for a while, so they'll fit in perfectly.

The bookies haven't got a clue at this stage. Unless someone goes to 1/10 or whatever, they're just guessing.

They have a list of names for every Championship job and just recycle them.

    Nathan Jones and Rowberry 5/1

Bookies are mostly changing the odds by reacting to bets being placed rather than any concrete information.
I'm just thankful that Plymouth took Rooney out of the running a few months ago.

Didn't someone (not Erol Bulut) suddenly become odds on favourite just before Bulut got the job?
