So, they’re going to take a few weeks to make the wrong decision rather make one straight away

I have it on good authority that the strategy is to keep their fingers crossed, and hope that the temporary manager does well enough, so that they won’t have to make any decision.

I don’t think that they have previously tried the fingers crossed approach before, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they had.
