I fancy a result
I fancy a draw, strongly. A 1-1 draw.
City haven't drawn at home since 20th February 2024 - a 0-0 draw with Blackburn. The last score draw at home was 26th December 2023 - a 2-2 draw with Plymouth. Meanwhile, the last 1-1 draw at home was way back on 7th October 2023 against Watford.
We play them again at the end of the month. That's pretty unusual isn't it, 2 league matches between the same teams in the same month (barring rearranged fixtures)?
Probably not as there was usually a week between games, but at Christmas teams played Christmas Day and Boxing Day, or the day after if one was a Sunday. In 1921/22 and 1922/23 City actually played West Brom at Christmas over consecutive days, so I'd be surprised if they didn't travel up and down together. Presumably the fixture placed two sides relatively close together..
ElGhazi fit. Nothing mentioned but assume Turnbull out
Not convinced this game will be on. ‘Threat to life’ warnings.

Tom Cleverley on Omer Riza:
“Omer had a great patch with a team that were really struggling and looked destined for the bottom three, and he’s managed to turn that round,” said Cleverley.
“I think he’s still got a good record, and he is a coach I respect that I know from Watford.
“He’s actually a coach I played under, when I was returning from injury in two Under-21 games.
“I’ve coached his son too last year, so there are a few more connections than people probably know.
“He’s a thorough coach who isn’t afraid to have fresh ideas or be a little bit unorthodox.
“We’ll have to be ready to adapt on the day because he looks like he’s got a group who are playing for him.”
It's a red warning now - worst of it should be over by kick off time, but they may well decide to err on the side of safety.
