Dreadful month for the academy teams after a promising start to the season.
The excuse for the likely decline in under 21 results was going to be that players were going to be loaned out, but thats not happened yet. Injuries to Kpakio and Reindorf and Giles absence today isnt helping, while, although he hasnt played for them so much this season, Ashfords not there either - thats still an absolutely shocking result for a team that was looking like the best team in the league in the autumn though.

Great performance. That Daniel Ola looks like he's got all the attributes to become a first teamer - I've not seen much of him - anyone know if he's highly regarded?
Dont believe hes been picked in Wales age groups squads, but I think he should be now based on what Ive seen of him which isnt much.
Im not convinced it was a penalty, but he showed an impressive turnof pace to win it.

Great stuff. Rob Tankiewicz is an interesting one. He stood out in our u-15 team that won the cup last season and I know you were impressed with him in the Victory Shield. Not sure if he's been held back or injured this but he's hit the ground running with the u-18s, one to keep an eye on. If you're skilful like he is you can always say you meant a goal like his second and no one can really argue.
Rocco Simic will be playing for the under 21s tomorrow in their League Cup game with Everton - if they aVoid defeat, they’ll probably qualify, but their form now is horrible after their very good first half to the season.
