Les Dawson arrangement?
Probably my favourite! When it's time for me to shake off my mortal coil, I'm going to have this recording played as the curtain is drawn and the coffin is removed from view in the crem.
The whole first LP is their finest work, no doubts about it - there's one delightful horn duet in the middle of 'Morning' which has always made me wonder what on earth they were trying to play. By the time they got to the Albert Hall, their "music" was more recognisable.... I have the book about their story, including one tale of Brian Eno turning up to a gig one evening, asking how he could join, then their conductor came back with a cello and told him he was playing second half!! I picked up a near-mint copy of that LP on ebay a few years ago, might be worth another play!
However, nothing can surely compete with seeing them live. That must be an experience never-to-be-forgotten!![]()
Eric, seeing them live was a wonderfully surreal experience. I was disappointed, though, that Eno was not playing with them in Cardiff.

Eno's belated second half entry must be akin to a City player coming on at half time after a first half hammering. Incidentally there's quite a bit on YouTube about them.
