Didn’t realise there was another under 21s match today, it’s at Leckwith and kicks off at 2, here’s the team.

Some 'lively' comments about Simic staying with the u21s (not off to Villa Park) and the seven other u21s who are missing this afternoon - and maybe in the FA Cup squad: Armstrong, Lawlor, Giles, Mafico, Jefferies, Nyakuhwa and Pearce.

I mean it really is remarkable to go from Champions League football to not being able to get out of the u21's at a Championship club for an FA Cup game where we are expected to field a weakened side. In one sense he's maybe a little unlucky to be getting healthy at a time where we actually have 2 decent options at center forward for once, and if he'd been in this situation at the start of the year he might have had a chance to shine, but this certainly has to potential to be an all time shit signing.

Just like they did on Tuesday, the under 21s concede from a corner in the first ten minutes - 1-0 to Coventry.

1-1, Simic again, very good work down the right by Wigley.

Making a good case so far to be given a chance in the first team.

he's taken all of his chances very calmly, but it's unlikely he'd get a free header in the middle of the box as easily as he managed to today if he was with the first team.

Coventry have been taking the same throw in on my telly for the last twenty minutes. I won’t knock a free service that most others clubs don’t provide, but they’re having a bit of a nightmare today.

Maybe, although I'm sure our 1st team defenders have lost their man like that a few times this season!

Second 1-1 draw of the week for the under 21s. The stream worked for the last half an hour and from what i saw it was a very scrappy affair with Coventry looking the more likely winners - not a bad result I suppose considering the team we put out.

For the third straight game the under 21s play on the same day as the senior team. Today they're playing Millwall at Leckwith kick off 2 o clock - I wouldn't be surprised if it's another team with a few under 18 players in it because theu also entertain West Brom in the Premier league Cup on Friday night when I would have thought they'd want to put out the strongest team they can.

Turns out its quite a strong City team this afternoon. Whats happened to Pearce lately?

No Simic... does that mean he'll go with multiple strikers on the bench, or maybe some lineup with Salech and Robinson together?

Must be injured as he hasn't been featuring for the U21s or 1st team on Friday.

1-0 to Millwall at half time as City concede from a corner for the third straight game - thought our keeper should have done better. Generally speaking, the team has been as ordinary post Christmas as they were impressive before it and it’s been pretty true to form so far, not very good I’m afraid. City had a great chance to level in added time though when Trey George was fouled as he dived to try and reach a Luey Giles cross (think the penalty award was probably right, but the red card shown to the defender looked very harsh to me), but the keeper saved Mannie Barton’s poor spot kick.

Millwall make it 2-0 early in the second half.

2-1, good finish by Trey George after a defensive mistake.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...

Lost 2-1, Conte hit the post after a good run, but City didn’t deserve anything from the game - too many players who were doing well earlier in the season playing poorly now.
