Perrett, Lawlor & Giles start for Wales u19s alongside former Bluebirds Benjamin, Crew & Biancheri. Armstrong, Mafico & Twose on the bench
It'll be a real test for them tonight, some very good players in the England squad
9 in the squad who started with Cardiff.
There's 5 or 6 players that would give Peter Crouch a run for his money.
Team of beanpoles.
Finished Wales 0 England 2 in what looks like a “group of death”, is it worth having a look at today?
Looks like Wales under 21s made eleven changes at half time in their friendly with Andorra today. Cian Ashford was in the first half team - Wales won 1-0 with Chris Popov, once on City’s books, scoring.
Waled under 18s are currently playing Poland - they’re winning 1-0 with Mannie Barton the only City player in the starting line up.
Pretty much how you'd imagine it to be so no real need to catch up. England were better, we had some good breaks and a number of corners and free kicks but the result was about right. The sides didn't seem very fair to me, England had Dibling, Miley, Tyrique George and others starting then brought Mikey Moore and Chris Rigg off the bench.
Good experience for our lads though, I didn't see a lot of Perrett when I was watching but Lawlor and Giles seemed to be doing ok. Lawlor took over the captaincy when Crew went off.
Interesting article about Chelsea's strategy of buying in young players. We also seem to be focusing on signing younger talent, but not the way Chelsea are doing it.

Lawlor & Giles starting for Wales u19s v Portugal
Cian Ashford scored for the u-21s today in a 1-1 draw with Sweden. Him and Joel Colwill both started.
Wales u17 beat Albania to top their group, 5 City players in the squad
Armstrong, Lawlor, Giles, Mafico and Twose all starting for Wales under 19s against Turkey.
1-0, Issaka with the goal who has played a fair bit for Plymouth this season
Clear that, along with Crew and Biancheri, Lawlor & Giles are considered a key part of this team, started each game
Some good results there to be fair. Like the look of Lawlor a lot.
Odd game from what I saw. Turkey looked to be taking control in the second half. Crew went off, which the commentators made a big deal of, but out of nowhere Wales started opening them up with counter attacks. Turkey needed a win, I guess they just committed too many forward but Wales took advantage well and played with a lot of spirit.
Good night for our lads overall from what I could make out. Twose was a bit anonymous and got subbed at half time but Mafico was very busy and did some good stuff, Lawlor and Giles looked comfortable (maybe too comfortable a couple of times in Lawlor's case but he definitely seems to have something about him) and Armstrong made a couple of outstanding saves. The reason that Crew's subbing wasn't a problem was that Troy Perrett came on for him and put in an excellent cameo. Plenty to be encouraged by, Kpakio would surely have been there too but for his injury.
