It wasn't a good start. Radio Wales is far better and gives better build up and discussion. The only snag is that Rob Phillips is no longer commentating. I'm unconvinced by Simon Davies as BBC Wales' lead commentator, though that could simply be that Rob's shoes were huge to fill.

The presenter does my head in. I can't watch the build up as a result.

I read these complaints on here regularly, and I just don't understand it. What do people want? A handful of people throwing about a few clichs, 'Football' talk, or whatever they do, who cares, and why would anyone be annoyed by it? I'm sorry, but it's not like people have tuned in and BBC Wales have last minute changed their minds and have decided to show re runs of Blockbusters (With Bob Hollness) some of you have way to much time on your hands, that's the only conclusion I can come to.

If covering live football was just a case of getting a few pundits together for a chat, surely all coverage would be as good as each other? It's not, though.

I usually watch football listening to music or podcasts, this goes for all stations not just BBC Wales, what i found more annoying last night were the constant replays of action whilst the game was in play.

None of it is particularly good, it's the game that matters I would have thought. I have images of people sat in front of their TV with expectation and anticipation on the words of some ex footballers etc. It seems to boil people's piss on here. I'm 53 in September, if I ever get to the point where I'm on the internet moaning about punditry on the TV, then I'll know it's over, and I give my good mate Heathblue, permission to come to my house and beat me with a lump hammer.......

I get what you are saying, but I do enjoy the build up to a game in particular. Radio Wales coverage started 15 minutes before BBC 1 Wales so I had the radio on first. Similarly, it's one reason I watch MOTD on occasions, as much for the footage but the comments as well.

Fair enough, I'm the opposite, I have no interest in pundits or commentators. On the rare occasions I watch football on TV, I've usually got it on Mute, unless I'm watching with a family member, because I have to listen to their bollocks instead. It's the constant disappointment I don't get. The game is the main event for me, the pundits are the sporting equivalent to a support act before the band who people paid money to see, enter the stage, a bonus if they're good, but not really what people came to see. And it's this whining about women pundits, all they're doing is sprouting the same nonsense the men have been doing for decades, people seem to get angry about it. Someone was spitting feathers because the female co commentator said Low Block yesterday, Neville and the rest of them invented that shit......👍

    You think this was bad.

Scotland coverage on BBC2 had no commentary, then they brought in two random blokes to talk about what we can see, and one of them had a mic that didnt work.

    Ha ha.
